smartCARE

Project Description

Cancer survivors deserve to receive relevant and adapted information addressing both physical and psycho-social impacts of cancer. They frequently report difficulties having specialist care and support services.

The smartCARE project aims at collaborating with the third-party app developer to co-create the Cancer Survivor Smartcard App. The primary function of the mobile application is to provide cancer survivors an easy access to their clinical history and treatment summary, being able to share it with relatives and professionals. It will Improve communication between the survivors and healthcare providers on the survivor’s needs and worries. The application will provide a personalised follow-up care for a life free of cancer and its effects.

The development of the first central pan-European cancer survivor smart card will be based on extensive consultative activity with cancer patients and survivors to meet their long-term needs.
