smartCARE

The Role of DiCE

In the smartCARE project, DiCE is implicated in Work Package 2 and 3.

Work Package 2 will achieve the fullest understanding of the range of survivor, caregiver & healthcare professionals’ needs associated with the development of the smartCARE app. In this DiCE will lead a task aiming to understand the cancer patient and survival needs related to specific adult tumour types e.g. breast, prostate, bladder, colorectal.

  • Based on the first understanding and ideas for the App gained through patient-centred workshops, we will develop a tailored survey to gain understanding of the user needs for adult cancer survivors.
  • The survey will particularly target the breast, colorectal, prostate and bladder cancer communities.
  • This will include assessment of geographic differences to be taken account of.

Work Package 3 will collaborate with the App developer to co-create an interoperable Smart Card solution usable across a variety of healthcare infrastructures and readily available to survivors, their families and other end users.
